Following our very successful 2010 season in MWPBA Grade 5 (taking 1st place in 4 out of 5 contests so far, including the US Open Championship at Alma), Tunes of Glory intends to petition for upgrade to Grade 4. We also plan on fielding a novice band in Grade 5 in 2011.

We are looking for additional pipers and drummers to supplement each band, including in particular a second bass player.

Tunes of Glory is a great "teaching band" based in
Warrenville, Illinois, in the western suburbs of Chicago. We receive regular professional instruction from Adrian Melvin and Jim Sim.

Tunes of Glory is having a 30th Anniversary Cookout on Saturday, Aug. 21st at Cool Acres in Aurora, off Rt. 25 from 1-7pm.  Current and past members of Tunes and family are invited.  Please contact Deb at  president@tunesofglory.org to respond with the # of people attending.  (ASAP)  More information to follow.


Tunes of Glory competed in the U.S. Championships in Alma, MI over Memorial Day and was crowned the 2010 U.S Champions at Grade V. Congratulations to the band!

The
Tunes of Glory roster comprises over 30 active pipers and drummers, and a number of students.  The Band performs throughout the far western Chicago suburbs in many parades, concerts, and private functions. Players are also available for solo functions.

TOG 2010

The Band rehearses at
Warrenville City Hall each Wednesday evening 7:30pm-10:00pm, and teaches students 6:00pm-7:30pm. During competition season, additional rehearsals take place on alternate Monday evenings as needed.
